Abstract

As work from home, job profile is becoming popular it is important to understand if there is any difference on job satisfaction of male and females. This paper is an endeavour to understand the job satisfaction of women and men working from home and also understanding job satisfaction of people with respect to their spouses’ work profile. Though this policy of work from home is meant to be beneficial for both employee and employers, a proper understanding is required before a person starts working from home. The study reveals that employees’ whose spouses also work from home have the least job satisfaction. This understanding needs to be dealt deeply in bring out reasons for this. HR departments need to think of policies to bring in human element in the work from home scenario.
