Abstract

This article concentrates on defining the environmental approach of Soviet leaders and state of environment. It focuses on the policy of heavy industrialization and collectivization, organizations that were active and striving for the protection of the environment. This article aims at explaining the factors responsible for environmental degradation and also highlights some of the early protests.
