Abstract

It is said that 21st century is India’s century, since beginning of which India’s has shown remarkable excellence in economic sphere. The nation is committed to walk on the guidelines of sustainable development goals. India now needs to realise gender dimension and role of gender sensitive society for achieving its economic aspirations and also a sustainable future. Passing triple talaq bill and abrogation of section 377 of IPC are some recent moves that have boosted the motive of general equality in the society, but it is equally necessary to understand the true essence of gender sensitisation concept which has passed through several interpretations in the due course of history.
