Abstract

The Covid-19 Pandemic has exacerbated the already existing gender inequalities with substantial implications for women. With the closure of offices and educational institutions, women's chores within the household have increased drastically, and the need and stress arising from unpaid chores in the household too has gone up considerably. Also, the norms of social distancing and sanitization have created additional chores in the household. In addition to these, compared to men, women have also become the first to lose their jobs in the labour market.
