Abstract

Adjustment is the process of adapting to the role of being a student and to various aspects of the school environment. It is a pre-requisite condition for a happy and healthy life. Therefore, the present study was conducted to investigate the effect of the working status of the mother on the adjustment of adolescent students. Descriptive survey method of research was used for collecting the data. The present study was conducted on a random sample of 1161 secondary school students studying in secondary schools of Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh. The sample of students was 562 working mothers, 599 non-working mothers.
