Abstract

Achievement Motivation is the inner urge of a person to achieve something in order to fulfil his self-satisfaction. Persons with high achievement motivation strive hard to attain their goals. Various studies have proved that entrepreneurs with high achievement motivation excel in establish and successfully run the business units. Moreover, various studies postulated that Achievement Motivation could be developed through Entrepreneurship training programmes. Hence this study tries to analyse the achievement motivation gained by the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) trainees which is specifically conducted by District Industries Centres (DIC).
