Abstract

present paper attempts to analyse the socio- economic and cultural factors affecting maternal health and problems faced by pregnant women while seeking medical health care facilities in Sangrur district of Punjab. Methods: Two primary health centres, that is, Sunam Municipality and Malerkotla (khanpur and Mandian Village) with low institutional deliveries were purposely selected as area for the present study. Interview schedule was the tool for data collection.
