NEW MEDIA DEMOCRACY: EXPRESSIONS AND PROPAGANDA

Abstract

Public opinion and expression are notions that should come with the enlightenment. In the new media of the twenty first century the researchers are concerned with the public opinion formation, the relationship between influence of the growth of democracy and the new media, its moral implications concerning enlargement of the opinion base; the relationship of democratic government procedures to the public opinion; and the influence and role of public opinion and expression in the rise of economic and political power. As the public opinion has been firmly linked with the progress and fate of democracy, as far as for its rise and fall, this paper evaluates the civic networks that are considerable attempt to make use of these new media technologies, particularly the internet, to augment the involvement of the local democratic process.
