Abstract

All philosophers at all times have searched for the truth in this world, and have at times transcended this world also to find it. The task of philosophers is to see the true nature of objects. Thus One, Two or Multiple Substances arrived, in their philosophy. Substance means that which does not depend on anything for its existence, thus it is something unconditional. In Western philosophy many philosophers emphasized on Reason as the truth yielder as things of sense experience keep on changing with time and place.
