Abstract

One of the greatest sons of the Punjab, Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia (1848-98) was a Punjabi activist in progressive and social reform measures in Punjab. He was a versatile and erudite personality. When a new wave of independent thinking swept the province, Sardar was not the man to remain behind. His views were slowly veering round towards the western liberalism. He inclined towards rational and reformist ideology of the Brahmo Samaj.
