Abstract

When we walk though the old ancient hawalis and palaces we find lot of colour glass windows and other decorative cutleries, the ornamented glassware’s, sculptures in blue and red fascinate the onlooker. There are also archaeological evidence in the form of a number of glass objects found at Tuper, Hastinapur, Alamgirpur, Maski that date back to 1000 B. C. - 900 B. C., which suggest the existence of glass technology in India in the Chalcolithic site in the southern Deccan, which is older than the beginning of the first millennium B. C.
