This paper reflects on the adoption of gamification of learning by different classes and its impact during the global pandemic of COVID-19. It focuses on the impact of gamification on student engagement, motivational, performance and retention levels, which were surveyed using a Google Form among Indian students. Initially, a comprehensive pilot survey (N=36) was conducted to get finer and deeper details for developing the questionnaire for the main research. Later, a Google Form was circulated to conduct the final survey (N=102). Results showed that Google Classroom and Google Forms Quiz have been well adopted by the undergraduate program in India. The findings suggest that careful consideration of game properties may impact students and encourage their learning via a gamified application. Moreover, the new tool of technology has not been well implemented in India.
