Abstract

Yoga can be applied to good effect in the care of the health of people. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of three pranayama activities on the anxiety level of people in general. For this purpose, 30 healthy volunteers selected with an appropriate sampling method. Those selected received 45 minutes of pranayama class twice a week for a period of one month. The State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) was administered before yoga on day one and after a month of practice to assess change in anxiety state and anxiety trait.
