Abstract

Cyber security refers to the application of controls, technology and processors which protects programs, networks, devices, systems, and data from cyber-attacks. In today’s environment, the world is becoming more and more digitally sophisticated. The use of computers, mobiles and internet for routine activities such as e-commerce, online banking, and social media has increased. This paper intends to understand the awareness level of cyber-crimes among the technical and non-technical students in Parul University, Vadodara. The paper also finds out how many students are aware of the cyber-cells situated in Vadodara and what are the various precautions taken them to avoid cyber-attacks. An online questionnaire survey was conducted of 150 students among technical and non-technical background fields from the students of Parul University in order to collect the data.
