AVAILABILITY AND USE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS

The present investigation aimed at studying the availability and use of ICT in English medium secondary schools affiliated to CBSE. A sample of 100 class IX students and 30 teachers providing instruction in secondary schools of Rohtak District in Haryana participated in the study. The study revealed that different facilities relating to ICT such as computer, internet, e-mail, fax, printer, LCD projector OHP, scanner, interactive white board, CDs, television monitor etc. were available in majority (80 per cent) of the schools. More than 50 per cent of teachers used ICT in Teaching-learning
