Abstract

This article attempts to highlight the classroom teaching-learning, teaching aids and problems of students of a rural school in Haryana. Study is enabled to reveal the involvement of classroom teaching, use of constructivist approach of teaching and teaching with teaching aids, playback of educational audio-video programmes, use of educational kits, etc during a three months fieldwork. Statements of headmaster, teachers, parents and students on whole activities of school are also reflected in this article. Efforts are also made to focus the parental socio-cultural problems which create disturbance of school going children to take part in formal educational system.
