It is pivotal to assess the damage Covid-19 has inflicted upon us. The objective of this research is to describe the shape of the Indian economy in Covid-19 period and to study the impact of the novel Coronavirus on the economy and throughout various sectors of the economy. The actions taken by the government of India to ameliorate the situation is also discussed in this paper. The economy of India is examined and the current situation is scrutinized closely and their future condition is predicted. The destruction caused by this war unlike war is silent. Loss of human life, wealth, economy and finance has been incurred which is of deep severity. Hence this paper aims to understand the degree of loss faced by humanity especially pertaining to economics and finance.For collection of primary data , an independent survey was conducted in order to get information from the people about the impact of covid-19 on their life. The data is further analysed to draw conclusions from the same.
