Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic has become the biggest disaster the current generation has ever seen. Majority of the people around the world are directly or indirectly suffering losses of various kinds from this pandemic. There are arguments on the source of the new Corona virus and how it can be curbed. But no solution has yet been found by any of the countries. People have been required to isolate themselves from the rest of the world for many months now. This has led to an unimaginable sudden increase in unemployment as people are forced to stay at home and the economy is slowing down. The present study aims to understand the different stresses and anxieties that the employees in the corporate sector are experiencing as a result of the covid-10 pandemic. The study is analytical in nature. The sample consists of employees working in different corporates in Central Kerala. The study was conducted from August 2020 to October 2020. One way ANOVA and Chi Square test are used to analyse the data. The findings show that a major share of workforce is suffering from anxiety. The employers must come up with new ideas to reduce anxiety amongst employees.
