Abstract

Women are human being and they deserve all rights with dignity. Social practices and political unwillingness is one of the reason for exploitation of women. Domestic violence, sexual abuse, physical violence, dowry, restriction of choices, practical aspect of right to property etc. are very serious social evils still prevailed in our society. Socialization makes this process so subtle and obvious for women that they even do not realize that they are being exploited such as beating by husband, no control over sextual choice etc. State and other agencies have a very crucial and significant role to play in this regard. This paper is trying to highlight such issues and some possible suggestion for addressing them.
