Construction of highways, airports , dams , waterways , power plants , industrial parks , apartment houses ,laying of pipelines etc , generates dusts and exhaust emissions from construction equipment . the operation of airports viz where aircrafts take off and land , power plants and the use is highways and industrial parks also cause emission of gaseous and particulate air pollutants , it is thus seen that the major adverse effect is on the quality of air especially the one which is in close proximity of the project area where construction activities takes place. in eack case , the air pollutants are of different type and need different treatment . Let us first discuss the ways of collecting the date of the type and quantum of air pollutants and then study the means of countering the air pollutants ot inprove of air .
