Abstract

North Bihar Region has huge water resources. Therefore, it is a flood–affected region. This region is notorious for the drainage features and the resulting topography like chaurs, moins, flood plains, siltation and many more. The most remarkable features of the drainage is the migratory and aggrading character of the rivers, especially the Kosi and it's affluent. The rivers of this region deposit their load of silt sediment on the bed and raise their channel above the usual levels of the region.
