Abstract
In 1986, a recognized society called the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) was established. The standardization of curricula and the upkeep of a Central Rehabilitation Register of all certified employees engaged in the field of rehabilitation and special education. The Act also calls for punitive action against those who provide services to people with disabilities while being ineligible.
