Abstract

Glass ceiling is one of the major factors that influences the satisfaction of women employees which in turn is linked with performance. In spite of continuous studies and discussions on glass ceiling, the truth is, it is an inevitable part of today’s corporate world. This correlational study focusses on the impact of glass ceiling factors namely, organizational factors, individual factors, family factors, and socio cultural factors on the job satisfaction of mid-level women IT employees of Kerala. The multiple regression analysis shows that organization factors are the one that influences the job satisfaction of women employees followed by family factors and socio cultural factors.
