Abstract
This research article explores the relationship between learning organizations and the competitive advantage in the BPO sector. Reviewed literature that has been contextualized for the BPO industry indicates that learning organizations can be more competitive and adopting a digital strategy and leveraging human capital can be a game changer in the immediate future. Specific characteristics of a learning organization have been developed in a model to also depict the impact it can have on competitive advantage and employee retention. Their downstream impact on financial performance is analysed through the Resource based theory and is achieved from new revenue generating models and new ways of service delivery which can be a key differentiator in the digital innovation journey.
