Abstract
The purpose of this research paper was to study the pedagogy, attitude towards learners and self concept of secondary school science teachers and its relationship with students’ academic achievement. The purposive sampling technique is used to draw the sample. 100 secondary school science teachers and 400 students were selected for the study. Finding of the study indicates that there is a significant difference in the pedagogy of male and female secondary school science teachers. There is significant difference in the attitude and self concept of male and female secondary school science teachers. These variables have positive relationship with students’ academic achievement. It is therefore suggested that for the better academic achievement of the student, teacher must use an appropriate teaching pedagogy along with positive attitude and high self concept.
