Abstract

This significant examination is a published rendition of Ryuichi Hotta's doctoral thesis (Glasgow, 2005). It speaks to a meticulously close analysis of ostensible plural structures in 247 scribal writings, primarily replicated between the second 50% of the twelfth and the main portion of the fourteenth hundreds of years; 134 of these were looked electronically obligingness of pre-distribution access to the labeled writings arranged by the Linguistic Atlas of Early Middle English task, and the book in this way remains as one of the principal published examinations to draw widely on LAEME information.
