Abstract
Biological diversity or ‘Bio diversity’ is defined as the diversity of all living forms at different level of complexities: genes, species, ecosystem and even landscapes. Biodiversity is essential not only for the proper functioning of the earth system but also for the survival of the mankind, the rich varieties of genes, species, biological communities and life supporting biological and chemical processes give us food, wood, fibres, energy , raw material industrial chemical and medicine. It also provides us with free recycling, purification and maintains ecological balance.
