ENHANCING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE THROUGH EICSHTM* EFFECT OF THE INTERVENTION GIVEN THROUGH TRAINING MODULE ON THE ENHANCEMENT OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE OF PUPIL TEACHERS

Abstract

In the benefit of students and themselves, there is a need to educate teachers to shield them from the ill effects of stress. The goal of the current study is to provide a solution in this regard by proposing a remedy based on emotional intelligence in the form of a training module for teachers to be stress-free and to create stress-free environment in schools.It is important to conduct a study to find out the level of stress and emotional intelligence among pupil-teachers to provide the emotional intelligence-based solution in the form of a training module. This study responds to whether pupil-teachers can increase their emotional intelligence level through the Emotional Intelligence Controlled Stress Handling Skill Training Module (EICSHTM).For 40 pupil teachers, a pilot study (Experimental Research) was conducted to investigate the impact of a self-developed training curriculum on enhancing emotional intelligence. T-test Dependent was used for statistical analysis (one tailed, paired). Result shows that EICSHTM was found to be capable of improving pupil teachers’ emotional intelligence.
