In India mainly social organizations are performing various child development activities in schools. School social workers understand how to go into the greater community to engage families and community organizations to create better outcomes for students. In this backdrop, this paper discusses about school social work practice related methodological overview which includes conceptual understanding of school social work practice, goals, functions, roles, ethical dimensions and practicing line-up.
