Abstract

India is the first country to get legal mandate, to follow the rules pertaining to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). All the companies, which come under the law or alternatively the companies that are eligible to take up the responsibility to shoulder the initiatives of CSR will have to follow the mandate pertaining to CSR. This law is new and the mandate therein is not grasped by the companies in equal measure. It is interesting to witness the result of this initiative on the CSR activities, which are being or will be undertaken by Indian corporations depending on their differential or incomplete understanding of the mandate.
