Abstract

This concept of development is based on an increase of capability to purpose in life, in all its variety and prosperity is arguably a more productive and more meaningful view than that of economic growth based exclusively on economic expansion. However, a neglected area in the study of human development has been differences in human development between social groups in a country. Pardhi tribe is deprived of their traditional mode of living and occupation in Solapur district. The main objective of the paper is to analyze the key dimension of Human Development Index (HDI), Gender Inequality Index (GII) Gender Empowerment Index (GEI) and Educational Development Index (EDI) of Pardhi tribe in Solapur district. Its empirical evidence has proved to be very meaningful to the Governments all over the world.
