Abstract

Nobody is assured about when the normal economic condition would resume in the countries affected by Covid-19 pandemic. It is quite natural that the financial condition of these countries will improve gradually after the pandemic is over. But it should be kept in mind that Indian economy has been gasping not only due to pandemic but also due to other reasons that happened much more before the Covid-19 pandemic began. It is right that India’s jeopardy in both two phenomena viz. per capita income and the rate of growth of national income is quite prominent. In this context comparison of Indian economy with that of Chinese economy can substantiate the matter in a better way.
