Abstract

The global pandemic COVID-19 has created a lot of challenges and disruptions among the workforce in India across various industrial sectors. The endemic undoubtedly caused plenty of changes in the world of work, one of them predominantly indicating to the work from home. This review article highlights the difficulties faced by the workforce while working from home and how employers are setting and measuring the performance standards of employee’s works remotely. The article also throws lights on some of the strategies to be adopted by the employees and employers on maintaining productivity and engagement while working from home during this epidemic situation. The new ways of-working became the new normal, the relationships between employers-managers and employees have to reinvent themselves to step up performance, employee engagement, handle challenges with resilience, and remain focused by management of objectives. Principles of Workforce planning and work allocation are defining new standards on the work front.
