Abstract

This paper attempts to study the need to invest in women’s education as men start moving to higher jobs one sees a U-shape in the investment in Education. It attempts to study the Household as an unitary entity further transiting to a Nash Bargaining Model of the Family. It attempts to derive the analysis of increasing rates of divorces based on Intra-household bargaining model as one of the externalities arising out of investment in women’s education.
