Abstract

The popularity of social platforms and video games in children makes them very inactive in their life. The time spent in these things may be spent in some physical activities like sports. Participation in sports can have many benefits to the children. Children can improve their skills and disciplines. Healthy mind requires healthy body. Children can also be professional players in sports at state, national and international levels. For this, the role of coaches is very important. Here I have taken an initiative to study the role of coaches in motivating the college students towards sports, improving their skills etc. In our survey it was found that coaches play a very important role in improving sports skills, motivating, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses, correcting the mistakes and continuous progress of sports students.
